Outdoor Activities & Education Centre

We are a residential outdoor education centre on the shore of Coniston Water in the Lake District.

We are available to groups of young people, corporate clients, and also offer the full range of National Governing Body awards as well as a range of specialist skills courses.

Our range of MLTE courses include:mountain leader award training & assessment, SPA training & assessment.
Our range of RYA courses include: dinghy instructor courses, sailing courses & power boat courses.

Our range of specialist courses include whitewater kayaking, mountain walking & multi pitch rock climbing.

In addition we have The Wright Lodge which is a day visit facility for schools, youth groups & corporate clients who would like to participate in our range of outdoor activities, but on a non residential basis.

Unfortunatley we cannot cater for individuals, unless on one of our specialist courses.

The Estate has a history as a 'Park' belonging to Furness Abbey. The current estate comprises 65 acres, mainly woodland, and includes the former mansion house, ancillary building, a mile of lakeshore, a marina and a boathouse.

Waterpark is ideally situated at the southern end of Coniston Water and has easy access to the M6 via the Kendal turning.
